Brian Monks

I am a music producer and software engineer originally from Dublin, Ireland, currently living in Lisbon, Portugal.

I studied visual art in the National College of Art & Design, Ireland before dropping out to do a degree in Astrophysics in Trinity College Dublin. Following this I did a Masters in Computer Science and did a few research contracts focused on artifical intelligence for Dublin City University before spending over 10 years as a software engineer and technical lead.

I studied classical guitar under the acclaimed classical guitarist Brian Farrell from the age of 14 and went on to become an electric guitarist in the ten-piece jazz / funk band The Company for three years where I had the opportunity to play with world-class musicians such as Michael Buckley and Phil Ware.

I compose electronic music and plan to release my first EP in 2025.
